This is the home of the Petty Prattle Network, hosted by Angela & Toni! We love to prattle on about whatever strikes our fancy.
You can expect a lot of soap content, but as time goes on, it will expand to include other genres of TV, movies, and even sports entertainment! We love to laugh and talk about all of our favorite—and least favorite—things!
Angela
Angela loves to write; be it articles, novels, plays, fanfiction, lengthy message board diatribes, or strongly worded emails, writing is my passion. She is a huge fan of all aspects of the soap opera genre and thinks they are undervalued in the entertainment industry. She loves a wide range of movies and TV shows and will happily repeat her favorites of both endlessly, much to the dismay of her children. She also loves almost all genres of music, reading, wine, tea, swimming, backgammon, bingo, pedicures, and almost anything beach or lake-related. She is a massive Star Wars nerd, an uber-lover of all things 80’s, and an embarrassingly huge Kevin Smith and Lin-Manuel Miranda fangurl. General Hospital’s Carly Spencer is her all-time favorite soap character, and she will challenge you to a duel for suggesting Carly and Jason are not soulmates in every way. She is a stubborn Taurus and loves the last word, especially when it’s a debate she is passionate about but she always has receipts! She believes facts matter and that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but also that an opinion is not a fact, even her own. She strives to live her life in gratitude and remember that we’re all in this together despite our differences. Above all, she loves her 5 kids, the rest of her family and friends, and her fur babies, not always in that order.
Toni
Toni is your average opinionated Aries! She loves to write and share her opinion, and that often leads to something else she loves—a healthy debate! She enjoys reading, writing, & editing fanfiction, short stories & books. Toni has grown up from the years spent at war on message boards & in varying comment sections to spread her takes on Twitter & in podcasts. She loves a broad range of fictional worlds from books, TV, movies & more… And as an avid soap lover, she’s been a fan of nearly every form of soap whether it’s daytime, primetime, or sports entertainment. Toni has an eclectic taste in everything but especially music & TV. From rock to R&B, classic to country, and everywhere in between, you’ll find her jamming out. And while her interests in more visual mediums are picky they are just as widespread: sci-fi, procedural, reality, fantasy, comedy, drama, romance, action/adventure and every mixture of the genres she can handle. Toni is a single mom of 1, and as one of 4 siblings, an aunt to 6. As a former military brat, she has a pretty broad experience with the human condition & tries to never forget that her is not the only perspective of anything. But for Toni at her core is the golden rule—do unto others as you would have them do to you. So she tries to lead with empathy & respect… no matter how petty & quirky her mind may get.
